This series contains publications of the Inter-Lutheran Commission on Worship (ILCW). Files are arranged alphabetically. The first significant group of publications is the Contemporary Worship (CW) series. Copies of the first nine of the ten CW publications are located in this series. The Lutheran Book of Worship (LBW) files include a copy of the Lutheran Book of Worship, First Printing, 1978 that was presented to Lutheran Church of America (LCA) president Robert J. Marshall at the LCA's 1978 convention. The Lutheran Book of Worship, Fifth Printing, 1982 was a gift from St. Peter Lutheran Church, Burbank, South Dakota. It was the church where former Evangelical Lutheran Church in America bishop Herbert Chilstrom's wife, Corinne, was baptized, confirmed, and married. The Resource for Introducing the Lutheran Book of Worship is a kit that includes two filmstrips, "Planning for Worship" and "With Heart and Hands and Voices"; one 33 1/3 LP record for use with the filmstrips; posters advertising the LBW; and pamphlets introducing and explaining the LBW. The kits are still in their original boxes. Occasional Services: a Companion to the Lutheran Book of Worship, 1982 and Lutheran Book of Worship, Convention Edition, 1982 were not publications of the ILCW but rather the Task Force on Occasional Services. The Hymnal Companion to the Lutheran Book of Worship, 1981 was also published outside of the ILCW but is meant to complement the LBW and so is included in this series.
